Supported by people who believe in the mission
The Sharing Shed is made possible through community support, generosity, and organisations willing to help bring the mission to life.

Connecting Equiptment. Supporting Community
The Sharing Shed Foundation is a community-driven initiative helping connect donated mobility and disability equipment with individuals and families who need it most.
We work to bridge gaps in access by providing practical support, reducing waste, and giving quality equipment a second life through community generosity.
Through donations, partnerships, and shared support, The Sharing Shed helps improve independence, dignity, and quality of life for people navigating disability, illness, injury, and ageing.
Built around three simple steps
These features are not active yet, but this is what the platform is being built to support.
Donate equipment
Community members will be able to submit unused equipment that may help another family.
Browse available items
Families will be able to see what equipment is available and request what suits their needs.
Arrange collection
Once approved, families and donors can organise safe collection through the platform.
Practical support for families and less waste in the community
Many families need equipment for comfort, mobility, recovery, or daily care. At the same time, useful equipment often sits unused after it is no longer needed.
The Sharing Shed is designed to close that gap by making it easier to pass equipment on safely and meaningfully.
Families
Access equipment that may make everyday life easier.
Donors
Give unused equipment a meaningful second life.
Community
Reduce waste while supporting people locally.
Foundation
Extend the mission of Walking With Ava through practical care.
The Sharing Shed is being prepared
The full website will soon allow families to browse available equipment and donors to submit items that can support others in the community.
